Since the introduction of the For Dummies series in 1991, the For Dummies books have helped readers navigate the ever-changing landscape of modern computer technology.
"PCs for Dummies" has been one of the biggest selling For Dummies books worldwide for years and years and now it just got better. Absolute Entertainment from Bolton is launching a new range of interactive CD-ROMs based on the popular Wiley's licence. The first launch will see 2 titles hit the shelves with PCs for Dummies and XP for Dummies. Shortly followed by 3 further titles in Vista for Dummies, Laptops for Dummies and Office 2007 for Dummies.
Associate Director, Licensing for Wiley, John Hislop says, "It is a great partnership with Absolute as they are a superb design and development team who have developed a number of stunning interactive driving products over the last few years. As soon as discussions started late last year we knew they were the perfect partner to make this project not only work, but also work well".
These titles will be packed full of interactive tutorials that will talk and teach any PC user through some of the tricky aspects to understanding a PC.
An innovative search facility will allow the user to quickly and easily find what they are looking for to enable a quick learning process. It demystifies Windows XP, broadband connections, new PC configurations, various DVD writing formats and hardware, scanning, digital photography,
e-mail management, and much more. This is not a product just for Christmas but a reference tool for life.
